Amanda is a current intern through Aurora University in the master’s program and is set to graduate next year. Amanda has extensive experience, close to 10 years of working with individuals in a mental health crisis situation who need hospitalization. Amanda has a wide repertoire of helping clients who suffer from anxiety and depression due to life stressors to the most severe forms of mental illness. She has led group programming and provided therapeutic services on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness-based treatments at Central DuPage Hospital from clients in their adolescent life stage to end of last stage. Amanda has a special interest in helping clients cope with loss and grief and guiding clients into finding the solutions to life’s difficult but rewarding journey.
Amanda loves spending time with her family including her husband, cat and three chickens. She loves to travel, read, be outdoors and find new plants to buy that her husband then has to find room for in their garden. She is a big Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fan but also loves a good romance story.
