Dr. Anne Dickinson obtained her Bachelors in Psychology from Aurora University, her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Adler University.
Dr. Dickinson has been practicing for over 20 years and joined Conventions Psychiatry & Counseling in 2008. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Dr. Dickinson completed her dissertation on Parenting Styles’ Influence on Children’s Emerging Personality: Confident and Unruly Types in May 2012.
She accepts new patients age 11 and above. With certifications in Hypnosis and Biofeedback, Dr. Dickinson specializes in treating pain management, stress reduction, anxiety and depression. As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, she has expertise in treating those struggling with substance abuse, as well as assisting family members affected by a loved one’s addiction.
In addition, Dr. Dickinson teaches part time at a prominent local university, which allows her access to the latest research and developments in psychology.
In her free time, Dr. Dickinson is passionate about volunteer work and also enjoys traveling, using the beautiful trails in the suburbs, spending time with friends and “sleeping in”.
