Michael Cortina obtained his Bachelor degree in Psychology at Judson University and his Master degree in Counseling Psychology from Benedictine University. Michael also holds a certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Adler School of Professional Psychology.
Michael has over 20 years of experience treating the mental health needs of adolescents and young adults.
Michael joined Conventions Psychiatry & Counseling in 2005. He specializes in the treatment of Anxiety and Depressive Disorders, using behavioral interventions and restorative practices.
Michael understands the difficult changes and transitions that occur during adolescence, while also addressing the parenting challenges that come with these changes. To accommodate, he offers a safe, respectful, nonjudgmental approach to help both teens and their families.
In his free time, Michael enjoys fishing and being outdoors in Northern Wisconsin, traveling and coin collecting.
